Marketing Block Mayhem! FINAL
4:45 PMHave you been reading the Marketing Block Mayhem entries, and wondered, "where on Earth is he?". Well, wonder no more, for Kenn's finally posted up the market! I forgot to get a quintessential picture though, so I'll get it tomorrow, and do something about it. Anyways, here we go!
The computer. Our previous one died (Johnson's fault), so we got a newer computer, donated by the Department of Business. The CPU is the newest part of it, minus the speakers. It's a big jump. We went from a 98 to an XP. YouTube and my blog are the top sites on this computer.
The popcorn machine. It's seen much better days. We couldn't sell popcorn anymore, because it didn't meet government health standards. Blame the fat kids.
Good ol' trusty fan. This thing is ancient, like everything else in the market. It's been going non-stop ever since the hot weather started. We've got another one, which is blue, and the two mainly blow hot air around the market.
Our ancient printer. Prone to paper jams, this printer has saved many many marks over the years. I'll miss this dilapidated machine. The cool thing is that it's display says "00 READY". It's a gundam reference by the way.
Our cash register. We have three of them. They're probably my biggest accomplishment here in the market. I worked hard for about 2 hours after school to program them all.
Our main fridge. Didn't rotate any of the pictures. It's normally stocked full with the various beverages we carry, although this year, it's been less awesome because of the government's anti-junk food policy in schools. Me and Christ worked hard to set up the racks, which were impossible to put in.
Our microwaves. Possibly the newest addition to the store. Line ups for the microwaves often mix and mingle with the lines for the cashiers, so things get hectic sometimes.
The water heater. This gargantuan thing takes a while to heat up, an hour or so, so it's turned on in the morning to be ready for break. We don't really use this that much, since we don't sell anything that needs hot water anymore. I used this for making my tea in the winter.
A poster on how to wash your hands. It's up in every washroom in stores and restaurants. Would've gotten a clear shot, but Darren got in the way.
Our reserve refrigerator. It sits in the back of the market, and usually houses the items that need to be in the fridge, but have been reserved by employees. We'll put extra stuff that needs to be in the fridge in here too.
Forgot to rotate it, but this is our inbox. All the managers have one. It's intentionally kind of blurry to censor the names. I'm on the bottom left. John's is full of garbage.
Our ghetto phone. It almost never rings, but is often used to call outside of the school. Don't know what that red light is for though...
A cut-out picture of me. Rena drew it, and tacked it up on the bulletin board. She originally had a tack going through the body, thus the hole. I'm cuter than that though.
Perhaps the most dangerous item housed in the market. The knife was my source of entertainment for a few days down there. It also served to cut boxes and what not. It's hidden away most of the time.
