Charlotte's adorable once you get past the long, big, black thing that eats people.
It's been like a year since I last did one of these. Amazing.
On the other hand, that's how I'm feeling lately. Sleepy. No free time these days.

Thought I'd try something different for a change. Text heavy post because I forgot to bring my camera.
WE ARE X!! WE ARE X!! WE ARE X!! WE ARE X!!
Stay tuned. I've got more stuff to put up in the next few days. Backlog desu.

Let's talk about today...tomorrow, which is today, which means I'm talking about yesterday!
Loooong post is long.

Taokaka is adorable. I'm also starving. "orz I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL TAOKAKA!!
Had spaghetti and meatballs for lunch today. I rarely do, so I decided to make the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Similar, ja?
Anywho, spaghetti and meat balls, with a bit of chili paste and shredded Havarti cheese. Tasty. Had a fruit salad after this. :3 Kenn's being healthy today.
Making the fruit salad. I wouldn't normally use this knife, but it was the first one I pulled out of the drawer, so I used it. Cuts great, but maybe that's because it wasn't meant to cut fruits up. Cut up watermelon, pineapple, dragonfruit and banana. Chop chop chop chop. Cookies if you get the reference.
Jason and Keith came over today. Asked Keith to lend me his copy of Demon's Soul so that I could play with my cousin. The two of them played Lost Planet 2, but ended up failing miserably. The 2 player split screen is rather hard to play on when the TV is old and small.
Ed came while they were playing Super Street Fighter. After a while, Keith played the Skate 3 demo on my PS3. Had lots of laughs and then it got boring. So they went to my room, messed around with my stuff, namely my tarot cards. Ed decided to tell fates by drawing cards. Keith drew The Fool, while Jason drew Death. Amateurs instantly relate Death to...well, Death. After laughing at Jason and explaining that Death didn't necessarily mean Death, Jason and Ed messed around with my camera. As you can see, crotch shots. Or at least attempts at them.
Anywho, I did A Day with Kenn because Ed and co. came over, and I'd forget everything by the next day.

Song of the Week was supposed to show up, but it seems that I set the time and date for it's scheduled post for tomorrow. So that'll be tomorrow with the Vocaloid feature. So tired.
Was very tired today. My brother was gaming until 3 AM, and I woke up at 6, so that gave me a nice 3 hours of sleep. Criminology was the usual stuff, minus the fact that I have a big presentation next class.
Lunch for Kenn was a small coffee and a honey doughnut from Tim's. Good stuff.
Burned the three hours writing out my script for the presentation, along with questions for the debate. Oh, and I also spent a lot of time trying to get my Windows Live Messenger to work. Took me a while, but I eventually got it.
Brought the horse head along. Not sure why, but I did. Probably not going to do it again. Not in a while anyways.
Also brought my camera, hoping to shoot some photos of the various plants on campus. But alas, I had the camera, and a fully charged battery, but I forgot the memory card in my computer. No photos. Oops.
Hit up Jason's place after class. Spent a while sitting around in the horse head at Jason's waiting for Edmond. He arrived, and we left for Richmond. Jason's aunt took his bus pass, so he had to use something else, Ed forgot his, so he went back to get it.
In the meantime, me, Jason and Keith went down to the Canada Line, where we didn't transfer and ended up at YVR, rather than Richmond. Were too into our conversation about school.
Killed a whole load of time going to look for Battlefield 2 for Jason. Didn't find it.
Had dinner at a Korean place. Fairly expensive. Had bad seats though. Waiters never came around to the area we were in. Ed, Jason and I had dolsot bibimbap, while Keith had something very, very spicy.
The way back had waits after waits. First we had to wait for the skytrain to leave the station. Then we had to wait a long time for the bus to arrive at the stop.
Twas my day in a nutshell.

Alright, so first off, I'd like to wish y'all a happy a new year. Going into the next decade, and a whole new chapter of my life in the new year. A few things I want to do with this post. Reflect on the passing year, resolutions for next year, and things I did today, which will probably come first.
So, Jason messaged me earlier today asking if I wanted to come over. I declined his offer, sticking around until my mom came home. I forgot all about his offer by then. He called again at nine, and I took up the offer this time around. Sam stopped by, with Chris as his navigator, and Darren as excess baggage, and gave me a lift up to Jason's place. I guess it was supposed to be a new years bash, though it was pretty dreary to be one. Poker was played, iTouch games went on, laughs were had.
Keith went off to play Demon's Soul, invading other people, and being met with little success. He lost three soul levels while he was at it. He then switched to online play with Street Fighter IV, where unlike Demon's Soul, he won all the matches he was in. Calvin took a shot at it, but wasn't used to the PS3 controller and lost.
Sam left fairly early, with Chris and I hitching a ride with him.
Last year, we were at Jason's til around one, with sparkling fruit juices and stuff. A stark difference from whatever happened this year.
Anywho, onto my reflections of this year.
Hm. Much of the first half of the year was Grade 12. Aside from the work and stress, I'd say that that the second half was so much more fun than the first half. For one, I chopped physics and math from my schedule, which relieved so much pressure off my back. Spent one of my free blocks with Ed and Kevin, spent afterschool tuesdays with Chris in the Market. Fridays afterschool at Jason's place.
Grade wise, I wish I could've done better. There's no point in crying over spilt milk, but it's just one of those things where you just kick yourself after you think about it.
Went to Texas again, and spent a month or two frying my brains out in the Texan sun. It was fun though. Minus the lack of internet of course. I'm quite dependent on the internet. Some of my cousins are coming over in the summer.
Anywho, my top ten resolutions.
- Keep my grades at school up
- Finish my 1/100 Blue Frame
- Redesign my blog
- Get a job
- Exercise
- Procrastinate less
- Procrastinate less
- Exercise
- Procrastinate less

I said I was going to make a new one. I honestly was working on it. And then my program crashed. "orz
Anywho, today's is Weej's fave post. Totally rad!
Today's is Weekly Vocaloid Feature - 紅一葉
I agree with Weej. Those are some good songs. Some of the best in my opinion, right up there with Melt and Meltdown. ;D Luka too.
Anywho, hopefully I can recreate my work and have a new one up for tomorrow. Busy with Demon's Soul, so maybe I'll sneak a few in every now and then.
Haha. I fail at that. I'll try and make a new one later.
Anywho, BEST OF KENN 2009 will be a series of posts celebrating the best and favourite posts of my friends, and I. So far Izzy, T.K. and Weej have given me their favourites, and I have my list of favourites, so until January 1st, I'll be putting them up. Izzy, T.K. and Weej's favourite posts will be put up day by day, though my favourites won't be limited to one a day. As the author of them, I feel a tad bit connected to them. xD
Today's BEST OF KENN is after the jump.
To start things off, I'll give Izzy's favourite post.
Free block Frenzy 1 (22/01/09)
I remember this day like it was yesterday. I'm pretty sure that the face is still on the inside of that locker too. ^^" It's our everlasting legacy. For a simple piece of paper and a gluestick, it really held well, considering none of us could peel it off. I sometimes miss those days, where we could just hang around. If there's every a reunion for our class, I'm definitely going to check if that's still there.
Anywho, the awesome face brings back fond memories every time I see it. Thanks for making this one of your favourite posts of mine, Izzy!

Ho ho ho. That's right. I've got a whole sleigh-load of stuff to put out here, so keep reading.
Party
So, I was at a Christmas party yesterday @ my family's new restaurant. Quite a bit of food. Two noodle dishes, a shrimp thing at the front left, deep fried chicken wings, deep fried sea food (squid, shrimp, octopus), a Vietnamese salad, sushi, and I feel like I'm forgetting something. Anywho, loaded up on greasy food, washed it down with cream soda. Yum.
Figma Photo shoot
Randoms
So I forgot my camera at Jason's place. Edmond decided to leave me a Christmas present and load it up with photos. Note that I'm not in those photos, nor am I even in that house.
I believe my cousin once asked, "what's with guys and crotch shots?"
I took this myself going back from Jason's place. I guess you can't really tell, but right after where that white car is, there's a rather steep hill. Gave me hell climbing that everyday to get to school for a year or two, especially in the snow.
Again, I took this shot. Yeah, I don't know. It's just the phone and electricity lines. Also a gray sky. It's blue now though.

Well, first off, I'd like to wish Jason a happy birthday. Yes, today's his birthday. I'll be running through what we did at his house, and a few other things that I've done during the day. Sucks that he doesn't have a bedroom anymore.
Awight, so the day started off with Demon's Soul. Actually, it started with my brother playing Demon's Soul. I spent a good chunk of the night playing the game. He was up earlier than I was playing. I've been playing on the PS3 all week, and he hasn't had a chance to ever since I got it, so I let him play. Yes, I'm that nice. It's incredibly difficult. Remember when I said that I had heard that Demon's Soul was similar to DMC (Devil May Cry)? It's not. If anything, it's more similar to most MMORPGs than DMC. If you die, you lose all your souls (money), but you can reclaim them if you can find where you died. However, if you die on your way there, your souls are gone for good. Bah.
Anyways, obviously certain classes will be easier to play than other classes. As cool as Wanderers are, they die like a mofo. Take so much damage. Though, I can't say that Royalty takes less damage...
Anyways, left for Jason's house after. Picked up a shelled chestnut (with it's green shell) to give him. Last year, I got him a bag of chestnuts. Seems that I didn't have this blog the last time his birthday rolled around. I got there pretty early, since there was pretty much no one else. Johnson and Keith were working on setting up a PS3 (Johnson's), but went back to Keith's to get another cable since the one they had didn't work. Darren showed up, then Edmond, twice. Gary came, and then Christ showed up. Once Michael showed up, the noise level shot up instantly. He's the life of the party. He's pretty intense when gaming. It's hilarious to watch too. And with him, everyone becomes loud.
UFC 09 Undisputed was played on one TV, where Carlos, Cris, Gary and a friend of Gary's who's name is Edmond (or Ed) were found. Michael and the rest were on the PS3 playing NHL, and Street Fighter.
I played Poker with Ed, Darren, Jason, and Keith. Did I win? Maybe once out of the 10+ rounds we played. I really suck at Poker.
Food rolled in. Like last year, there was pizza, and sushi. This time we also had deep fried pork, and spaghetti. The pizza and sushi were devoured in an instant.
The games went on again, and later John, Johnson, Darren and Keith went back to Keith's place (again) to get a connector cable for the 360's. "You won't believe what John just did." It wasn't as bad as we thought it was, though it was still pretty stupid.
Johnson, Edmond, Darren, and John went out to buy a deck of cards for Big 2, since all the decks at Jason's place were missing cards, no thanks to "those idiots" who threw them around. Halo started up on one of the TVs, while UFC still played on the other. I left before Halo was started up on both TVs.

So me and two friends (whom shall be named Jeff and Lucy) went downtown earlier tonight to see the Distant Worlds concert. It was wonderful! The music was awesome, and some of the accompanying video was quite humorous. Especially ones from the earlier games, mainly due to the graphics back then. Felt a tad bit under-dressed however. Jeff was somewhere in between semi formal and formal, Lucy was semi formal, and I was pretty much casual. A dress shirt underneath a sweater, jeans and sneakers. Essentially, I looked like a preppy. Lots of people were in full formal, although there were also quite a few people even more shoddily dressed than me. 2 Cosplayers spotted; Rufus, and a Summoner (the class with the Horn head band).
Anyways, the concert opened with Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy VIII (in which most of the songs were from). I can't remember the order of the songs anymore, so I'll just list the songs that were played in no particular order.
Liberi Fatali (VII)
To Zanarkand (X)
Don't be Afraid (VIII)
Ronfaure (XI)
Fisherman's Horizon (VIII)
Dear Friends (V)
Vamo alla flamenco (IX)
Opening ~Bombing Mission (VII)
Aerith's Theme (VII)
Swing de Chocobo (FF)
Final Fantasy VII Main Theme (VII)
Love Grows (VIII)
Theme of Love (IV)
Man With a Machine Gun (VIII)
Memoro de la Stono - Distant Worlds (XI)
Opera "Maria and Draco" Aria di Mezzo Carattere (VI)
Terra's Theme (VI)
One Winged Angel (VII)
My favourite songs from them were To Zanarkand, Ronfaure, Fisherman's Horizon, Love Grows, and Maria and Draco.
It was well worth the $65 tickets, and probably would've been much more had Uematsu made an actual appearance. He did make a video appearance, however, it was short, but also comical, as the camera was pointed at a statue, while he talked.
Jeff was disappointed that he could buy the CD on sale. Was close to buying it before the concert, but he didn't get it. After the concert, he had to have it, but it was sold out. Perhaps it was Lucy's comments prior to the concert that stopped Jeff from buying it...because after when it was sold out, we were harping on him on how we totally called it.
Ride home was full of "I would do that again, and again.", "I would relive that moment just for the concert", "Now I don't have anything to look forwards to..." Guess which comment is mine."It'll be 7 minutes!"
"He won't take 7 minutes. He'll come back in like 2 minutes because they don't have it."
"They're sold out..."
"Told you so"
Anyways, I'm missing the concert already. The music I've got playing right now can't live up to a live orchestra. Yes Andrew, Touhou rock arrangement's can't beat a live orchestra.
Yeah. Sorry about the photo. Have to wait until my brother comes back from his trip so I can get my camera back. Was using my old camera. Not the greatest, as you can see.
Anyways, went running around Richmond and Vancouver with Ivy today. While picking up Miku at Richmond center (Soul of Anime is the only place to get figma D:), I felt a "no comment" aura coming from her. I honestly expected that. At least it wasn't one of those otaku-shunning aura's. Ran around Richmond Center for a bit before embarking on the next trip, destination: Aberdeen Center.
While at Aberdeen, we went to the awesome-est place there, Daiso. I went and found the most dangerous items sold there, ice picks (I would've loved one on RO), sickles (for gardening), and knives. Not wanting to become a killer, I didn't pick any of them up ^^; However, Ivy did pick up a little bear plushie keychain thing. She complained about her back hurting. I swear it has nothing to do with me. Although I suppose it could be thought of in another way, which I'll leave up to those who have their minds in the gutter...like me After a quick look around the mall, we set off on the next journey, to Parker Place, not too far from Aberdeen.
Had a shaved ice thing at Parker Place. Trying figure out what stuff was called in English. Failed miserably. The furthest we got was coconut jelly and longan. The shaved ice made us colder than we already were. Ran around Parker Place for a bit to warm up before heading to the Olympic Village, to try and figure out where it actually was.
It was pretty much nowhere. Couldn't find the Olympic Village from the station. Ended up walking across the bridge to Downtown Vancouver. Ivy was amused by my partially comical fear of insects. A bee was flying around me, and I did a half assed run. I think my hearing's going. She could hear some high pitched noise that I couldn't. Took the Yaletown station train back home.
Getting off the train and getting down the stairs takes a good bit longer than you think. The moment I got to the bottom of the stairs, the bus left. Waited a good 15-20 minutes for the next bus. And that bus was packed like a tin of sardines. There's two stops by my house, and if you miss those two stops, you're pretty much screwed. The next stops from there are really, really far. Wouldn't want to walk back from there.
Anywho, that's pretty much my day so far. There'll be another Photo shoot for Miku, and Kagamiku will make appearances here and there in said gallery.

Running around the city with the usual crew. Picked up nothing interesting myself though.Alrighty, so today I went running around Metro and Crystal Mall with the usual crew of Ed and Jason. Jason wanted to find wax (hair product) while Ed wanted to find a hat. I wanted to see if I could find myself another Figma, or some other "Otaku Hardware". I stopped by Arby's to get some food, and then we left to Lids for a hat.
After not finding anything, we headed off to Crystal Mall, where we hunted for wax and figmas. They didn't have any. They might have actually, but I don't want any Haruhi ones.
After searching in vain at Crystal Mall, we headed back to Metro to hunt for wax and hats. Went to Superstore and T&T to look. Spent a bit in Superstore deciding on what to get. Didn't get anything in the end. Got wax, drinks and a sandwich for Ed there. The drinks were terrible. Tasted like tonic water. Ick. The drink below.
Anywho, went back to Jason's place, after we made a quick stop at Edmond's for him to grab stuff. We hunted for a bit at Jason's, while eating candy, and listening to intro songs and commercials from the 90's. Makes us feel so old. Love house hippos. xD Anywho, that's about it. Might go down to Richmond later this week to find some figmas, and maybe go down to Superbored again to replace a Tshirt that my mom lost. Sad face. $40 D:

Running around in Richmond, blowing hard earned cash on expensive stuff man.Testing out a new code while I'm at it too. Can't figure out how to use it, so I'll go without it for now. Figured it out now, and it's currently in use for the latest post.
The day started with walking to Jason's place. Had to wait for my brother to get home so I could leave.
Launched at around 1, got there at around 1:30. Yes, it takes quite a long time to walk to Jason's. Anywho, once I got there, we almost immediately set off for the newly built Canada Line, a new route to Richmond, cutting our travel time down immensely. Ed had his U-Pass, and us chumps (Jason and I) who aren't in a university had to pay up or get tazed. Spent at least $10 on fare alone today.
First sstop, my folk's restaurant. We had lunch, and possibly breakfast if one of us skipped it, there. All three of us got Bo Luc Lac (shaken beef with rice and Vietnamese slaw). Good stuff. I got my usual 3 coloured bean desesrt, while Ed got a strawberry shake. Jason wanted to be adventurous, and got a Preserved Plum in Soda. He didn't like it. At least he wasn't a prick, and finished it.
Anywho, second stop was Richmond Center, where I got my first Figma, Kagamiku (Hiragii Kagami in a Miku outfit, from the Lucky*Star OVA). Costed me a good $40. Otaku's must be really rich.
Third stop, Landsdowne Center, where we went hunting for external hard drives to relieve me of my endless hard drive space needs. Checked out Best Buy, but they didn't have the one I was looking for. Twas on sale, and twas all sold out. Sad face. And thus, we went to Future Shop. The model I was looking for wasn't even there, but there was one of similar price. Picked it up there. Costed me $145.
Fourth stop was Aberdeen Center. We went running around here. Ran into Jennifer, who poked me, probably in revenge for all the times I've poked her. Bad things happened here man. Ed's never gonna let it die. Not gonna blog about that. It's gonna be wiped out of my memory. NOT GONNA REMEMBER IT.
Anywho, while we were there, Ed played a game or two at the "arcade", or Game Corner, though it's not a corner, and we went to walk some more. Ended up walking to Yaohan, where we walked around, as Ed made fun of me. He was actually doing it the entire day. Anywho, ended up walking back to Aberdeen, getting on the train, and then trying to figure out what to do next. Spent a good 5-10 minutes trying to think of what to do.
Ended up deciding to retreat back to Jason's place. Hung around for a few minutes before going to get food at McD's. Was too poor to afford anything. Got two snackwraps. Was all I could afford. $3.97.
And that's pretty much the day. xD Oh. and...Spider spider spider! Spider air! Goro power!

@ Jason's with Ed til midnight! The actual post after the jump.
Otay. So Ed's Monster Hunter file was supposedly corrupted and dead, so Jason (and later me) were going to rush him up to hunter rank 9. After a little investigation, Ed found a file of his that was still alive and somewhat recent. Hunted at least 15 blangongas, and that's just the regular colour. After the mountain runs, we went to kill Rathalos for divine plates. With Ed's bad luck, we made a killing. I'm currently at 1,000,000+ zeny, and still killing Rathalos for material. "orz
Anywho, went to the usual Japanese restaurant for dinner. Tonkatsu with miso soup, rice, ohitashi, and Japanese pickles. Quite filling. Ed had something a tad bit small, and Jason had something a tad bit too large. In the end, we went back to hunt some more. Didn't leave til 1 in the morning. 7 hours of hunting!!
Btw, just as a side note, I'm working on a rather ambitious Kaihaku project. If I manage to get it done, it'll probably be within the next year or so. xD Long wait, yes, but I'm sorta new to the animation programs and stuff. e_e"

Alrighty, so yesterday we (Jason, Jason, Darren, Keith, Sam, Calvin, John, Ed, Me), went to watch the latest Hollywood rendition of the mecha classic, Transformers. We got okay seats, front pit back row. Still, me and Keith thought it was too close, because all the action scenes were kinda funked up for us. Stuff moved fast, and big, and ended up blurred because of an sensory overload. Other than that, it was good. The story was oh so stereotypical. Typical Michael Bay? The action and stuff was good, but that story...
Anyways, we caught the 7 pm screening, but bought the tickets at like 5:40. We killed time in Sam's car. Ed and them were playing cards in the trunk, while Keith and Sam and Darren played cards in the front. I was playing games on my Touch, as well as going through yearbooks with Sam. We went into the theatre a half hour early, and there were still no seats. Bah.
We got out at 9:30ish, and proceeded to go home. There was a massive back up on our way back, so we had to take an alternate route. Luckily Jason Choy was with us, the human GPS! No, it's just that his memory and sense of direction is 1000% better than mine, and the other Jason's. Long drive in the dark while listening to Michael Jackson songs. Rest in peace King of Pop.
And to make a rather dull entry less dull, I shall include some entertaining quip from Izzy.
` izzy: KENN
