We're donning a brand new coat of paint! The blog has really been needing a new look for quite some time now to be honest. The previous design was from at least 5-6 years ago and it's aesthetics haven't aged very well with me. This new minimalist design, coupled with that totally rad header I made really gives this place a nice, cleaner look.
No Vocaloid Feature today, and I may or may not put up a Manga of the Week tomorrow. I've got concerts (performing) today and tomorrow and won't be home all day.
On another note, I was at school for a wonderful 12 hours on Friday. Had a recital, a class and then a 4 hour choir rehearsal.

Now that the cour has started, licenses have started rolling and a bit of information that some may appreciate.

Alright, I'm the "MIA" editor of this blog who haven't posted because I'm too busy at school, or maybe just because I'm lazy, anyways, I'm back(no school this semester) and I'm gonna start posting stuff.

Lol. Greatest OP pic this year.
Anywho, this will be a long, image heavy post. I've tried to cut the amount of photos I used for this because mass uploading is like pulling teeth.

It's been a while since I posted, so I figured I'd get back into the swing of things while I'm peeled away from the PSP.

Well, I've gone through another one. First one being Wanko to Kurasou. This time it's The Sagara Family.
Compared to Wanko, this one is fairly short. I can get through it in one sitting. Also unlike Wanko, the story isn't all that great. The story for Wanko wasn't spectacular either, but it was better than this one. I didn't like the characters all that much either. With the exception of Sanae (who happens to be my favourite of the 5 possible characters), all the characters are kinda whore-y. I apologize for the lack of a better word, but you get into the pants of every girl pretty early, of course with the exception of Sanae.
;D That was the best scene in the game. After a day of er...'fooling around' so to speak, the family comes home to find Yuusuke and Sanae er...all over each other, if you know what I mean.
You pretty much don't get into Sanae's pants until the end of her route. Of course to make up for that, they end up having oodles and oodles of sex, but she never acts whore-y. The fact that she's a tsundere gives her points, and that she's a strong female character (both physically, and somewhat emotionally). Is it wrong that I find a character like Arisa, who can barely take care of herself, quite irritating? Arisa's route seems to be the most popular though. Probably because she has the most sex scenes.
Anywho, I went through and finished a few routes. Emiru & Ruruka, Sanae, and Ruruka's routes. I was planning to try and finish Maria's route, but I really don't want to go through the novel again. I'll try looking for one that's good. xD Or at least maybe better than this one.

Oh and for those of you who are wondering about what happened to me switching to the new template, here's my explanation. I've been trying to install a few jQuery things into it, and the CSS for it doesn't seem to be working, so I've been looking around for solutions. You can head on over the test blog, Test Lab (the mini banner on the right of the home page). It should be named HG2 once you get on the page.

Meaning to do this for a while. Features upcoming series, new announcements and whatnot's like that.
Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~ OAV
It's not an announcement for a second season (though I really wouldn't mind one), but rather an announcement on a remake of a specific arc in the anime. Can't remember how it played out in the anime, but the remake will be more faithful to the source material, being the manga. For those who read the manga, the OVA should cover chapters 25-33. Doesn't seem like the seiyuu cast has changed from the anime, so those of you who watched the first run (the anime) won't have any problems adjusting, since it won't be any different. The first episode is being released bundled together with the 9th manga volume.
Kure-nai (OAV)
Image from Danbooru
Is happy about this. Kure-nai was great and the OAV is great news! It seems that the character design isn't the same the TV series, though the animation production is done by the same company, Brains Base, who have really made a name for themselves, having done Spice & Wolf, Baccanno!, Natsume Yuujinchou, and more recently, Durarara!!. From the looks of it, it'll be starting at chapter 18 in the manga (no clue about the original light novel). You can see the trailer for the OVA over at the official site, or over on YT.
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga nai
俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない TV
Image from Danbooru
The title's a mouthful, yes, but it's great. Animated by AIC, and keeping the seiyuu castings that did the drama CD. AIC has a bit of an iffy track record, as their branch companies have done better works than the main company. Not sure when this is airing, there are rumours of it starting up in the fall season, and it running for two cours (24-26ish episodes). It's an otaku-centric comedy, with a dash of romance and whatnot. Interpersonal relationships, and the prejudice against otaku and whatnot are all themes in this one.
Highschool of the Dead
Image from Danbooru
YEAAAAHHHH. This deserves a huzzah to the highest degree. All together now, huzzah!! Anywho, this isn't new actually, it's at least a few months old. It airs this summers and I'm going to do the Summer Anime Previews later in the month so I won't talk much about it here. What I will say is that it's being animated by MADHOUSE and that the manga also restarts serialization along with the airing on the anime. You can see the trailer over on the official site here.
Yes, I suck with image manipulation programs like Photoshop or GIMP. "orz
Well, I could just straight out plagarize TK's post, but that's bad internet manners. So I'll state my source, then quote it. A+ for Kenn please.
WHAT: Left4Radio
WHEN: Fridays, 7:30 - 10:30pm PST (GMT -8:00)
WHO: TK, Firo, Kenn
WHERE: Right here (works with your favourite music application, Winamp, iTunes, etc.)
WHY: Because it's how we roll. And probably because we're bored.
HOW: I haven't the foggiest.
From TK's Blog:
A long time ago, (about 1-2 years ago?) Me, and Kenn + My friend Firo all were co-hosts of "RadioTK" (well, yes I was the original idealist/DJ and server owner) that maintained a fun Anime-based radio that played mostly Japanese Anime tunes as well as K-Pop and some C-Pop.
Instead, this time we came up with a new name, and I didn't want to put my name as a Radio slogan because it's not only me and solely myself operating the radio station. It should have been a name that we all should be proud of, and represents of, not only me. Therefore, after a few discussion on naming it, we made it

The internet has left me in despair! Or more accurately, the lack of.
Currently mooching off of a default signal hanging around. It's about as strong as a feather is heavy. So I can't really do much on this post or it'd take forever for me to post.
Anywho, that being said, the internet in my house has died. Not sure when it died since it was while I was out and about. It's perfect timing too because I still have to do my research paper for Criminology. Yay. = =" Looks like I'll be spending a lot more time up there than I hoped I would be this week.
Piano recital tomorrow, choir performances Saturday, Sunday, and Choir exam on the following Monday. Criminology exam isn't until the 22nd, which gives me loads of free time to study. However, if I can't get this cursed research paper done, that final exam won't help my mark by much.
On another note, and a rather depressing one at it, I can't seem to access my blog on the laptop. I'd often blog from Capilano, though it seems that I can't get onto my blog front page. I can get onto my dashboard and individual posts, but not the home page. Especially weird because I'm at home, trying to access my blog, and the Capilano net log in still plagues me. Sent an email to IT support to try and fix this problem. Until then it and the internet are fixed, I don't think I'll be doing any blogging.
That's where Natural comes in. He probably won't be blogging much, but if worse comes to worse, he'll be keeping the blog active with his sparse posts, while I make myself taller.

For those who remember, Solanin was on the Manga of ze Week many moons ago (a little under a year ago). I said that there was a live action being done for it. It's out! *u*
The song used in the PV is 「ソラニン」(Solanin) by ASIAN KUNG FU GENERATION. Will have to try and find it once it's out on DVD/ bluray.

I probably should've done at least a little bit of work today. Just a bit, but alas, the hype of final day of the Olympic Games was simply too much.
Spent much of the morning watching anime, and playing Demon's Soul.
When the US-Canada hockey game started, that where I was at. I had my laptop on beside me streaming it live, but watching a hockey game without commentary just isn't the same. Moved out to the living room to watch it on TV.
Meanwhile, the streets outside were empty. I live on Marine Drive, which is more or less, one of the busiest streets in Vancouver, as it more or less runs along with the Fraser River from Richmond (Marine Road) up to North Vancouver (Marine Way).
My mom bought KFC for lunch. It's been a while since I had fried chicken, and it's probably going to be a while before I have it again. So bad for you.
On the other hand, my friend, Alvin, has good posts on the olympic. Very entertaining. Be sure to drop him a visit when you can using his banner link at the side.
I can still hear the fireworks going off, although my house is on the other side of Vancouver, in reference to where BC Place is of course.
